Managing pages

This page will take you through the steps in creating a page on your website. For more detailed information on editing pages and their settings see: The page form fields.

Adding a new page

  1. In the main navigation go to: Website / Site tree.

  2. Click on the Add page icon in the site tree toolbar.

  3. A blank page form will appear on the right.

Completing the page form

  1. The Page name field
    1. Enter the name of your new page. I.e. "About us".

  2. The URL field
    1. Enter a string representation of your page name to be used to create links to your page.
    2. The URL must be lowercase, with no special characters, using hyphens instead of spaces. I.e. "about-us".
    3. To make things easier, the URL field automatically populates with a formatted version of the page name.

  3. Click the Save button at the foot of the form to create the new page.

  4. The new page appear, to the left, in the site tree.

Publishing pages

  1. New page's by default are unpublished.
  2. Unpublished pages are symbolised in the site tree with the following icon.

  3. Unpublished pages will not appear on your website.
  4. Pages are unpublished by default to allow you to populate them with content before publishing them to your site.
  5. If you wish to add content to your page before publishing it please read the guide to managing content before completing the following steps.
  6. To publish your page, use the "Published" option to the right of the page form, at the top of the Info panel.

  7. Select the Published option's "Yes" radio button and save your page.

  8. The page is now published and will be displayed on the front end of your website.
  9. Published pages are symbolised in the site tree by the following icon
