The session time out feature is a security measure that logs the current user out of OmCore when they have been inactive for a specific number of minutes.
The number of minutes remaining before logout is displayed in the top right hand corner of the OmCore's interface, to the right of the Log out button.
Every time a user interacts with OmCore the timer is reset.
Some browsers will automatically delete the current user session after a period of inactivity. This will override OmCore's setting. The commonly accepted time for most browsers is 30 mins.
Changing the session time out period
To change the number of minutes before a user is logged out due to inactivity enter the number of minutes into the Minutes field and click the Update button.
How to disable the session time out feature
Setting the number of minutes to zero '0' or empty '' will disable this feature.
Once disabled, no number will be displayed in the top right hand corner of the interface, and the user will not be logged out of OmCore at any given time.
The browser's automated session timeout will still be effective.
