OmCore supports Google's Canonical URL format allowing multiple URLs displaying the same content to have their statistical data consolidated to a single preferred URL.
"Carpe diem on any duplicate content worries: [Google] now support a format that allows you to publicly specify your preferred version of a URL. If your site has identical or vastly similar content that's accessible through multiple URLs, this format provides you with more control over the URL returned in search results. It also helps to make sure that properties such as link popularity are consolidated to your preferred version."

How do I set up a Canonical URL?
Canonical URLs can be assigned to pages and any modules which feature a details page*. To set up a canonical URL the first thing you must do is decide which page is to be the master which in turn decides which page's will be directed to this master. The page which is the master doe not need to be updated, but all of the pages which must be directed to the master must be updated with a canonical URL.
*Details pages are pages which explicitly display the content of a specific item from a module. For example, when a user loads a news article from the News Blog module the page which is loaded only displays the content of that article. The page is primed with information related to the item, such as meta data and in this case any canonical URLs.
